Currently, when users choose to copy only Roles and Forms from an existing project into a new one, the system does not automatically create a default blank iModel. In contrast, when a project is created without using a template, a blank iModel is generated by default, named after the project.
Additionally, if the "Copy iModel" checkbox is enabled, the entire iModel—including its data—is copied into the new project. This limits flexibility for users who may only want to replicate the structure (Roles and Forms) without carrying over existing model data.
Requesting you to introduce an option that allows users to either:
Copy the full iModel from the source project, or
Create a blank iModel in the new project when only Roles and Forms are being copied.
This would provide greater control over project initialization and support more tailored workflows.
The two methods that already exist is to create a project from a template - that template should be a blank project with an iModel - and the means you are using to copy roles to another project. Our suggestion would be to create a blank project template and use that as the basis for new projects that need an iModel.
